Études Of A Grumpy Sky

There is some fascinating in the look of a storm forming itself… I usually call it the “études of a grumpy sky” – these particular moments right before the heavens above start crying with plenty of rain.

Photographing the formation of a tempest is not my strong suit. The clouds are moving way to fast to make the best out of it by hand-holding my camera. And since I have not to tripod to keep my Canon still and go for a long exposure that will bring a cotton-like look of the skies above, I decided to go with 1/50 sec at f / 22 taken by the mounted 50 mm on a full-frame Canon 6D. And I think I got something that I like.

What do you think?
