I was lucky enough to watch today what could be Andy Murray ’s last game. Not only at the Australian Open in Melbourne, but in general. The pain has prompted him to announce that he dreams about playing Wimbledon this year, but he might be not able to.
I came across John Carreyrou’s book Bad Blood in a year-end LinkedIn post written by Bill Gates. He has made a list of top 10 books that impressed him in 2018. He does that every year.
And a great book it is, indeed. I couldn’t leave it for about 30 hours, counting my sleeping time. I found it very well researched and providing different aspects and references. Pure investigative journalism.
Out of all the physical conditions of water coming down from the sky, snow is arguably the most beautiful one. Naturally, if we don’t count the calm rhythm of minor rain falling down while one does not have to go anywhere, but stay at home with a good book.
I want to get away. Preferably somewhere far away and for a relatively long time. Perhaps Oceania, New Zealand, Patagonia or Chile. Somewhere I have never been and definitely different from anything I have seen before.
I see all these people behind the accounts on Instagram. They never stop exploring places unknown. They eat exotic foods and fruits. They take pictures of waterfalls, temples or interesting nature forms. They sit on top a mountain or dive into the sea to swim with the fish and turtles.
The year 2018 was all over the place for me personally. I’ve had exhilarating moments as well as rather disappointing ones, ups and downs, a lot in the middle and many wonderful experiences around Europe and beyond.
