To Ljubljana, Zagreb And Back

Both Ljubljana in Slovenia and Zagreb in Croatia has been on my list for years. I have heard so many good words from people I have met. And they were all right. These two cities are simply amazing.

A walk through Ljubljana’s relatively small, but quite impressive old center will give you a treat to the eyes. This is exactly what I have experienced. Both sides of the river Ljubljanica are offering a picturesque trip back into the past of this old city. And the castle on the top of the hill presents an interesting restoration approach merging old and new – a must-see when visiting the city.

Zagreb, on the other hand, is big. Well, relatively big. It has a lot to offer in terms of architecture. Too bad the weather was offering nothing more but grey clouds and sprinkling rain. There are museums all over the center of the city and some outside of it. One cannot escape from seeing that once this city was a vivid intersection of traveling tradesman and rich cultural events.

I wish I could offer more pictures, but this is all I deemed good for showing. At least there is a bonus right at the end – me and Drazen Petrovic, one of the best basketball players that ever lived. Check it out!
