User experience is important, but so is the effort the blogger puts into his personal space while sharing knowledge, emotions and opinions. Keeping the user on your website and giving him the opportunity to stay focused and read more than just one post is not an easy thing. And this is why I wanted to segment my points of sharing by topics (Digital, Photography and Bulgarian posts) in three separate pages. Service Design – The Book

Service Design has been a field I wanted to dig in for a while. And the geek that I am, I was looking to a book to start… Well, apart from all the blog posts I read here and there. The book that Polaine, Løvlie and Reason wrote, indeed is a practical guide on how to start and march through this complex task of creating pleasant service design. In addition to the actionable advices there are many examples that put notions into perspective and create shared reference in the reader’s mind. And this certainly helps the newbie to start pondering on the topic.
This book is making constant references to the complexity of service interaction and the various touch points on different platforms/places. In the interconnected times we live in, it only makes sense to address design in a much more pervasive way than we used to a few years ago. Just going through the case studies presented in Service Design, one can get a few ideas on how to make the organization’s service offering better.

On (B)Endorsements

Endorsements are a relatively new thing (at least on LinkedIn). There have been out there for people to prove the possession of particular skill that is verified by a third person. In the past, this was done by a letter of recommendation. Now, it is a button that says “ENDORSE”. One click it and you are done.

Yesterday, I gave my professor from school @elreiss a +Klout on “Pole Dancing”. Two weeks ago I endorsed @muiiio for “Chocolate”. And a week before that I verified @cipisec skill “Beer”. All these lads are Internet Marketing professionals. None of them is a recreational stripper, chocolate chef or a brewer. They are just guys with a sense of humor pinpointing an issue.
